Because I wish I was still there

This post is going to be full of pictures of Mexico...

Because we had such a great time, and because I wish we were still there.

Life here is busy as usual. Not really too much to report on.

Happy Birthday and Other Milestones

Here are some of my latest layouts.

The gingerbread disaster and my monster son.

Eric lost his first tooth at age 5. It was the tooth he was born with. Yes, I said born with!

I had to take him to the dentist because it hurt. Turns out it was infected. Took x-rays, and there are still 2 teeth to follow, one just at the edge of the gums. And we saw all his adult teeth, just waiting to pop out.

And Grandpa - you owe me $100, as Eric is pretty sure that's what the toothfairy is bringing him!

Emma had wacky hair today. This latest less than 30 seconds.

Emma celebrated her 4th birthday with two of her friends and had a great time. I think this is the first time she has had friends over that are just hers, and no shared with her brothers.
The highlight of the day was doing make-up and the candy necklaces - Owen's favourite part!

Ciao for now.

We're Back!

Well, Mexico was fantastic!

The flight down was a little difficult. No one slept at all, even though it was the middle of the night, but they were very well behaved.

Wish I could say the same for the flight home. Everyone was very tired, it was again the middle of the night, but sleeping on the plane was difficult. Everyone was restless and not much sleep was had.

But the kids slept 12 hours straight for our first nights sleep at home, which is unheard of in the house.

Anyway, back to Mexico. It was very busy and a lot of fun. We tried to see as much as we could without changing the kids routine too much.

It was great to be with the family and for everyone to get a chance to bond. It was also nice to have Tom (Daddy) around so much. I was really happy that Tom could take the time to relax and enjoy himself and take a nice break from work. I think it has been, at the very least, 7 or 8 years since Tom has actually left work behind for even one week.

It's nice to be home, back to our stuff, and back to routine, but I could have stayed in Mexico for a whole lot longer!

Here are some pics.

This is Eric and Owen, crashing a Mexican beach wedding. The roses were thrown into the ocean.

Emma wore dresses and a smile the whole time.

This is Owen, jumping. I guess it doesn't matter where he is, he's always Owen!

And yes, this is Tom, relaxing and smiling!

This is the view of the ocean from the front deck of the house we were staying in. The accomodations were spectacular!

Again, Owen, doing Owen things. He spent a lot of time in the suitcase.

Ciao for now.
